The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) will develop a policy to regulate the quality of fuels imported
into the country, Zimbabwe's news agency New Ziana reported.
Concerns have been raised that fuel dealers were importing poor quality fuel following liberalisation of the sector.
The regulatory authority has invited bids for consultancy services to develop the policy.
“ZERA is inviting bids from reputable companies for the provision of consultancy services for the development of fuel quality and bio fuels policy framework,” it said in a statement.
Zimbabwe imports around 110 million litres of fuel every month.
