Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is confident that foreign investors are waiting for the Barisan Nasional (BN) to win a big mandate in the coming general elections to invest in the country.
He is also confident that the country's stock market will soar if the BN government is given a strong mandate.
Najib said this was not his own prediction but what he has heard from international market analysts and economists.
“Among analysts and economists, there are talks that if BN wins big, investors’ confidence will soar,” he said at a Chap Goh Meh celebration organised by the Selangor BN at Sekolah Kebangsaan Pandan Indah here.
Najib’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Menteri Pertanian, Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Noh Omar and Pandan MP Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat accompanied him.
Najib said Malaysia’s international recognition had also increased because the success of the national economy registered a growth rate of 6.4 per cent in the last quarter of last year.
He explained that the recognition shows that BN’s transformation policies is truly successful.
He added that all internal party problem have to be solved to ensure a big mandate in the 13th general election.
