Gua Musang MP, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah described the story about being offered to be Prime Minister by Pakatan Rakyat (PR), if they succeeded in capturing Putrajaya, as ridiculous.
He said the story was made up as he was still a member of UMNO and very loyal to the party.
Tengku Razaleigh said this when asked to comment on the rumoured secret offer be the prime minister by PR if the opposition manage to form a coalition government in the coming general election.
He was speaking to reporters after launching the 1Malaysia Lojing Futsal Courts yesterday.
During his speech at the event, Razaleigh regarded himself as one of UMNO veteran leaders, who is still active in the country. Despite being a veteran member, he is still able to deliver services to the people including the development of Gua Musang.
“I still get the support from people and very much capable in executing progress, which are beneficial to the people.
He also said that priority was also given to the Orang Asli with more facilities including building of access roads.
"I used to win with a big majority in every election because it was hard for the opposition to campaign to the Orang Asli without proper roads leading to their place.
"Now the opposition can enter into their settlements easily because the access is made available, but they support in favour of me," said Razaleigh who has been a member of Parliament since 1969 Gua Musang.
