Datuk Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir who today was sworn in as the new Menteri Besar of Kedah said he will need until May 15 to decide on the state executive council line up.
He said he needed a little bit of time before he could propose the names and get the consent of the Sultan of Kedah.
"I will have to first evaluate the performance and experience of each of the assemblymen who would later be appointed state executive councillors (excos)," he told reporters after the swearing-in ceremony for his appointment as MB at Istana Anak Bukit here today.
He added that the number of excos would remain at 10, the same as before.
Mukhriz was picked to be the new MB of Kedah after the Barisan Nasional (BN) recaptured the state from Pakatan Rakyat with a simple majority in yesterday's 13th General Election, winning 21 seats out of the 36 seats at stake.
