Policeman dies of suspected heart attack at nomination centre

A policeman who died while on duty at the nomination centre at Politeknik Merlimau here today, is believed to have succumbed to a heart attack at the centre's entrance.
Corporal Nordin Ahmad, 50, of Balai Kemendor here, died at 8.15am on the way to the Jasin Hospital
Jasin police chief DSP Muhd Nur Hishamudin Hashim said Nordin, from Taman Intan, was reportedly having breakfast when he collapsed unconscious.
"He was sent to the hospital but was confirmed dead while in the ambulance," he told reorters at the nomination centre.
The body was sent to the Jasin Hospital.
Muhd Nur said Nordin was among 150 policemen on duty at the nomination centre for the Jasin parliamentary constituency.
The policeman is survived by widow, Norhayati Nordin, 48, and sons, Mohammad Saifuddin, 13, and Muhammad Riduan, 16.
