Selangor BN manifesto can be implemented in first month - Mohd Zin

The Selangor Barisan Nasional (BN) has expressed confidence that its additional manifesto could be implemented in the first month if it were to return to power in the state in the 13th general election.

Selangor BN coordinator Datuk Seri Mohd Zin Mohamed said the manifesto was viable since a financial dynamic test was conducted based the state revenue forecast of RM2 billion.

"All pledges set out in the manifesto will enable Selangor to lead the transformation effort spearheaded by Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak," he told reporters after the launch of the manifesto here tonight.

Mohd Zin said the BN expected the first year expenditure would cost RM629 million, second year (RM491 million), third year (RM417 million) and fourth year (RM412 million).

He said the manifesto would give priority to interests, needs, requirements and wishes of the people based on an attitude study carried out by a special monitoring team and feedback gathered in 56 state constituencies in Selangor.

On the granting of 20 cubic meters of free water to flat dwellers having bulk meters, Mohd Zin, who is also Selangor BN deputy election director, said the initiative promised in the manifesto which entailed fixing bulk meters would cost RM170 million.

Selangor BN deputy chairman Datuk Seri Noh Omar said the additional manifesto could be implemented based on the state's projected revenue.

He said the prime minister had reminded the BN Selangor to be realistic in drawing up the pledges in the manifesto.
