THE business programme of the thematic platform “Roscongress Urban Hub” will be dedicated to the topic “The Evolution of Cities.” The focus will be on modern approaches to territorial development, the creation of a comfortable urban environment, the implementation of digital technologies, the development of human capital, and the formation of a new urban economy.
“Today, cities are becoming key centers of economic growth, technological development, and human capital concentration. The ‘Roscongress Urban Hub’ platform creates a space for professional dialogue between government, business, and expert communities on shaping a modern urban environment that meets people’s needs and the goals of sustainable territorial development. In the context of global transformation, issues of urban quality, infrastructure development, and the implementation of innovative solutions in urban planning are becoming especially important,” said Alexander Stuglev, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Roscongress Foundation.
The programme will bring together representatives of government authorities, business, development institutions, and the architectural and professional community to discuss key challenges and prospects in the urban development sector. Participants will consider issues related to the development of agglomerations and low-rise construction, modernization of engineering infrastructure, creation of new urban centers, preservation of territorial identity, and improvement of urban environment quality.
Special attention will be given to the digital transformation of the sector, the application of artificial intelligence in urban planning, the development of public spaces and parks, as well as new investment mechanisms in real estate development, including Islamic finance and public-private partnership models. The agenda will also include the development of tourist territories and the transformation of resort infrastructure into modern economic clusters.
One of the priority directions of the programme will be workforce development in the construction sector and engaging young people in shaping the cities of the future. On Youth Day, the platform will host a career-oriented design game workshop “Urban Development Challenge,” aimed at young professionals in architecture, urban studies, and spatial planning.
The business programme of the “Roscongress Urban Hub” platform will traditionally serve as one of the key SPIEF venues for discussing strategic issues of urban economic development, infrastructure, and modern approaches to creating comfortable environments for living, working, and tourism.
