The contenders for the 69th Tony Awards, honoring Broadway's best, have been announced, with "An American in Paris" and "Fun Home" garnering an even dozen nominations each, including best musical.
The awards, hosted by singer Kristin Chenoweth and actor Alan Cumming, will be presented at Radio City Music Hall on June 7 and will be broadcast by CBS.
"Something Rotten!" also fared well with ten nominations, while the new "The King and I" came in third with nine.
Broadway-bound Bruce Willis, who will star in "Misery," and Tony winner Mary-Louise Parker announced the nominations from the Paramount Hotel's Diamond Horseshoe in New York.
The nominations, spanning 24 competitive categories, were chosen by some 40 theater professionals.
