'Abang Long Fadil 2' tops local box office, beats 'Polis Evo' record

"ABANG Long Fadil 2" (ALF2) is the new king!
With a record-breaking collection of RM17.9 million in merely 39 days, this latest flick has beaten the record previously set by "Polis Evo", thus earning it the bragging right as the country's highest-grossing movie of all time.
"Polis Evo" previously took the throne with a collection of RM17.8 million in 2015, while "The Journey" with RM17.28 million in 2014.
Directed by Syafiq Yusof, ALF2 is an action-comedy film that features a story about Fadil who gets into mafia world after being mistaken as a hitman.
The Skop Production and Astro Shaw-produced film features a number of local actors namely Zizan Razak, Syamsul Yusof, AC Mizal, Wak Doyok, Achey (Bocey), Shuib (Sepahtu), Tania Hudson, A Galak, Mas Khan and many others.
ALF2 is currently showing in 77 cinemas nationwide.
