International star, Adele, has been trending for the past few weeks with the release of her latest album, 25. It has reportedly sold over 2.3 million units just after three days.
Some question what is it about her that so special, especially when the music industry is flooded with tons of young and fresh talents.
Here are seven things that make her stand out from many other artists:
Vocal
No one can deny her unique vocal prowess. We had Whitney Houston and Celine Dion back in the 80s' and 90s', Adele is our generation's definition of a diva.
Break up songs
Break up songs always sell. And no one knows this better than Adele. She sings every word we wanted (or should've) said.
Her latest single, Hello is no exception, even though she is now going through happy times with her partner and son.
Image
Unlike many celebrities who opt for 'slim is beautiful', Adele is very confident with her looks. She has said before that she will never change just for the sake of others.
Adele is also probably the only singer with a pop star title, but with decent, well-kept image. She is always properly dressed and still manage to look very classy.
Beautiful
She is definitely not someone you would call conventionally beautiful, but it's a known fact that she possesses a vintage beauty.
Vogue magazine has quoted her beauty as 'something that will transform us to a different time, which could only be felt by sense'.
Real
Adele never hides the fact she loves food and hates exercising.
"I'm a singer, not a trendsetter. I'd rather look fat and have a great and respectable career, than looking beautiful but have no achievement."
Way to go, girl!
A protective mother
There will be no compromising when it comes to her son's safety. Adele sued (and won) a paparazzi whom she claimed took an intrusive photo of her son.
Youth icon
She's only 27, but she has the world in her hands. Successful career money, fame, an adorable son and most importantly, millions of fans who love her no matter what.
