Adele's '25' album breaks 7 million sales, stays on top of album chart for fifth week

ACCORDING to Billboard's Nielsen Music data, another 1.5 million copies of Adele's album "25" were sold in the week running up to Christmas, pushing it over the 7 million sales mark.

English singer Adele doesn't look like she'll be moving from Billboard's top albums list for some time, as the chart released its US results for the most popular album of the week, calculated by Neilsen Music data. "2,5 Adele's third album, has now sold over 7.13 million copies, with 1.15 million in pure album sales occurring during the week ending December 24; a predictable peak point during the pre-Christmas gift rush.

The results mark the third week that the album has sold over 1 million, and give it a secure place at the top of Billboard's music album chart.
