GREAT news for DC fans! Warner Bros. is developing a Nightwing standalone movie with LEGO Batman director Chris McKay, according to comicbook.com.
McKay is currently in negotiations to direct the live-action film which is based on DC Comics, with Bill Dubuque writing the script.
Nightwing, whose real name is Dick Grayson, was the original Robin in the Batman franchise -- portraying as the Dark Knight's trusty sidekick.
The character was created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger with illustrator Jerry Robinson.
Also known as the Boy Wonder, Grayson first appeared in Detective Comics #38 in April 1940. He was was the youngest member of a family of acrobats known as the Flying Graysons.
Grayson became Nightwing after he outgrew his role as Robin to become his very own superhero.
