Air New Zealand are hoping to make travelers take note of their onboard safety announcement with a little help from their friends in Middle Earth.
The airline company has enlisted the help of the forthcoming Peter Jackson movie "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" as inspiration behind its latest in-flight safety video.
Jackson and Gollum even make cameo appearances in the video.
At just over four minutes long, the video features cabin staff dressed as various characters from the film taking passengers through the various safety demonstrations.
Also making guest appearances are the two great grandsons of "The Hobbit " author J .R.R Tolkien.
"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" is the first in a trilogy of films adapted from Tolkien's "The Hobbit" book.
The film will have its world premiere in New Zealand at the end of November before going on general release across the world in December.
