American Hustle wins big at 71st Golden Globe Awards

First-time nominee Matthew McConaughey won the Best Actor (Drama) award for his role in Dallas Buyers Club. He beat Chiwetel Ejiofor, Idris Elba, Tom Hanks and Robert Redford. Blue Jasmine star Cate Blanchett beat fellow A-listers Sandra Bullock, Judi Dench, Emma Thompson, and Kate Winslet for the Best Actress (Drama).
Leonardo DiCaprio took home the Best Actor (Musical or Comedy) award for The Wolf of Wall Streets. He first won his Golden Globe in 2004 for The Aviator. Amy Adams, star of American Hustle, won Best Actress (Musical or Comedy). Fellow star Jennifer Lawrence took home for Best Supporting Actress.
12 Years A Slave won Best Picture (Drama) while American Hustle won for the Musical or Comedy category.
Over in the TV categories, Breaking Bad won for Best TV series. The series actor Bryan Cranston won for Best Actor in a TV series.
The Hollywood awards season is back with the Golden Globe Awards which took place at Beverly Hilton Hotel, Beverly Hills. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler return as host.
