Famous singer Shahrul Anuar Zain or popularly known as Anuar Zain, aspires to do another large scale concert next year following the success of his Three Decades of Music, Love and Passion Concert in 2013.
Anuar, 46, who has just produced his fifth album entitled, Anuar Zain, said the mega concert held at Melawati Stadium, in Shah Alam, has inspired him to hold another grand concert to show his appreciation to his fans for their support.
"I was happy and excited to be able to entertain my fans in the previous concert held as I had never imagined I was capable of carrying out such a feat.
"I hope that next year there will companies and sponsors that will collaborate efforts with me in holding a grand concert," he told Bernama here Monday.
The singer, who is also singer Ziana Zain's younger brother, said his latest album, comprising eight rhythmic ballads that were written by five Malaysian and three Indonesian composers, was the most expensive produced since his last album five years ago.
"In producing the album which took my team three years to complete, we faced challenges, especially at the pre production stage, which included the selection of songs and music arrangement.
"I also emphasise on quality, and this includes doing music mixing in Sydney and recording in Jakarta, besides using the service of international orchestras, the Budapest Scoring Orchestra and City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, for three of the songs in this album; giving satisfaction to my fans," Anuar said.
He said, the production of the album, is sponsored by several corporations which include Wonder Glow, Mydin and Skin Glow.
The album will be made available to Anuar's fans on Oct 1 at 45 branches of the Mydin supermarket and will also be sold online at www.Lazada.com.my.
When asked for the rational behind his reason for only marketing his album at Mydin, Anuar said he viewed it as a unique strategy to sell his latest work as Mydin has a wider market in this country compared to sales from music stores that are currently declining.
"Most music stores have closed following a drop in the sale of albums, but I am grateful that Mydin has chosen mine to be the first album sold in its supermarket, making it easier for my fans to buy my album," Anuar said.
He also shared his happiness in getting news from Lazada that 500 units of his latest album had been booked at the pre sales stage.
Placing his hopes on the first single, ‘Andainya Takdir’ now being played on the radio, he said the video clip was created by experienced composer, Helen Yap, while its lyrics were written by Habsah Hassan.
'Andainya Takdir' was also trending on social media after it was launched on Youtube last Saturday.
"Alhamdulillah, within three days, the video clip directed by Amor Rizan which features actress Sharifah Sakinah and child actress Puteri Balqis, has reached a viewing of more than 250,000," said Anuar, who will begin promotions at several Mydin branches from Oct 9. -- Bernama
