The suave 66-year-old Samuel Leroy Jackson toned down a notch in this fun premise as President of the United States (POTUS).
Unlike his other films -- where Jackson would be perpetually cussing and pointing guns at people -- his role in Big Game sees his different side -- he is down a notch sans the killing spree and the profanity-spewing mode as his sidekick and the movie's star - is a 13-year old boy.
Dreamy-eyed, 15-year-old Finnish teen, Onni Tommila played by 13-year-old Oskari, who is on a mission to prove himself worthy as a hunter.

Oskari’s father played by Tommila’s real-life dad, Jormma Tomilla dispatched Oskari out in the cold wilderness of Finnish forest. The expedition requires Oskari to spend 24 hours on his own with ample food, water supply and armed with just a bow and arrow.
Oskari got more than he bargained for when he witnessed a dramatic crash that leads him to an amazing friendship with the POTUS who escaped fatality via a safety pod from Air Force One.
Oskari and the POTUS on the crashed Air Force One stranded in the remote forest in Finland.
For survival, the quirky duo must escape a line of kidnappers and assassins whom have long conspire to take down the POTUS whilst back home in the U.S.
At this juncture, the search for their lost POTUS intensifies.
Finnish screenwriter-film director Jalmari Helander, synonymous for other directorial including '2010’s Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale' has proven that a simple yet unrealistic plot such as 'Big Game' is truly watchable.
Undoubtedly, the plot is close to being silliness but again, beneath all the running, tumbling, shooting and fighting therein lies a cerrtain charm about this whole set up -- way up in the mountainous and serene Scandinavian setting -- that exude the poignancy of man and boy, son and father relationship.
