PETRONAS hasreposted their 2012 advertisement to celebrate their films that have captivated Malaysians for the past two decades. 2012’s Coming Home portrays a Chinese guy going through a series of adventure to be with his family for the reunion dinner – via video call, in India!
Though many claimed that PETRONAS hasran out of idea and the finances toproduced a new commercial, however, according to Norliza Kamaruddin, this is not so; #ComingHome is not a 'recycled' commercial.
In fact, it is a full version of their 2012's advertisement, with the intention to send out a strong message on social cohesion by reminding everyone about the significance of being Malaysian and appreciating our common values.
"This year, we encourage Malaysians to sit back and re-experience the characters who made us laugh and cry and appreciate all the emotions that make usrealise that as different as we may seem, we all have the commonality of being Malaysian, and very human," said Norliza.
