MARVEL'S Captain America actor Chris Evans has decided to hang up his shield after Avengers 4 in 2019.
Evans, 35, has spoken out regarding Captain America's future after the fourth Avengers movie, confirming that Avengers 4 will indeed be his last film as Captain America.
He said that "I could have said after the third Avengers I was done, but they wanted me to make the third and fourth Avengers films as a two-parter, [I agreed] because it made sense. It's going to wrap everything up."
After serving as Captain America on six different occasions, Evans has claimed that "Captain America is fun to do - and Marvel have the Midas touch. It has been the gift that keeps on giving."
His latest comment is most definitely a positive one, but as stated by Evans, his role as Steve Rogers in Avengers 4 will be his final one.
It may be the end for him, but that doesn't mean he isn't open to re-negotiations.
Avengers 4 is due to be released on May 3, 2019.
