Popular comedian and radio presenter at ERA fm, Johan who is a regular of Astro Warna reality shows has decided to opt out from taking part in the latest installment of 'Maharaja Lawak Mega 2014' (MLM2014) due to health reasons.
His decision will likely disappoint his legion of fans who would want to see him in action with his all-time sparring partner, Zizan Razak.
The winning Johan-Zizan union or Jozan will be 'disbanded' temporarily as Zizan has decided to join comedian duo Yus and Tauke or popularly known as Jambu for MLM2014.
Speaking to Astro AWANI, Johan whose full name is Mohamad Yazid Lim Mohamad Aziz said that his health condition and work and family commitments were the main reasons of his decision.
"Last July I had knee ligaments surgery, so the doctor told me not to move much. But, thank god that I managed to finish my involvement in 'Super Spontan 2014”, said Johan, the 31-year-old newly-crowned champion winner of 'Super Spontan 2014'.
Johan also said that at the same time his wife and manager, Ozlyn Wati is awaiting the birth of their fourth child.
"Ozlyn are now in her due month of pregnancy, so that's why I made the decision to leave MLM this year so that I can rest and also assist my wife with the newborn soon," said Johan, who is a proud father of three sons.
Johan also dispelled rumor that he is disappointed with Zizan's decision to join Virus.
"There's no jealousy issue involved, not joining MLM this time does not mean Jozan has split. I will definitely fulfill stage shows together with him.
"Although I’m not a participant, I will remain a loyal audience and support all my friends in the MLM 2014," said Johan.
Hosted by Datuk AC Mizal, MLM 2014 be aired in November.
The show also enlists other participants including Nabil, Sepahtu, Shiro and SYJ.
