With "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" and "Call of Duty: Ghosts" both due out on November 5, rapper Eminem is joining forces with Activision's military-themed action game in a promotional offer.
The two had already linked up for an early "Call of Duty: Ghosts" trailer which had Eminem's "Survival" as its backing track.
And now pre-orders made at participating GameStop stores come with a discount code which nets "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" for $8.99 instead of the typical $9.99 that iTunes albums are tagged with.
"The energy and intensity of 'Survival' really matches Call of Duty: Ghosts," was the comment of Missouri-born Eminem -- real name Marshall Mathers III. "I'm excited to continue to be a part of the franchise."
"Survival" joins current single "Bezerk" as one of two confirmed tracks for "The Marshall Mathers LP 2." The album is also to contain an exclusive studio track not made available separately.
