Farah Fauzana cancels wedding, cites 'personal reasons'

Former radio presenter Farah Fauzana has cancelled her wedding plans which was supposed to take place on Sept 17.
Farah in a statement to the media cited personal reasons for this decision.
"After thinking about this, and after seeking guidance from Allah and also discussions with my parents and family members, I have decided not to proceed with this wedding and I believe this is the best decision," she said.
She also said she needed some space as she goes through this difficult period.
"I am hoping that this statement issued by me will somehow answer some of the journalists' questions.
"At the moment, I have to admit that I am going through a difficult period and need to some space to clear my mind.
"As such, I may not be able to answer further questions from my media friends," said Farah.
On Aug 1, Farah announced that she would marry a a businessman in his 30s, named Hafiz.
The two met two years ago but it was only in February this year that both sides of the family had a meeting to discuss about taking the relationship to the next stage.
Farah's fans took to Twitter to express their shock over the news and advised the popular personality to remain strong during this difficult period.
