Model Gigi Hadid elbows and hits a man in the face after making her way out of a fashion show in Milan as part of the city's fashion week.
As reported by The New York Times, Hadid and her sister Bella were seen snapping selfies with fans when a man wrapped his arms around her waist from behind and lifted her.
Trying hard to escape, the 21-year-old model elbowed the man while saying “Let go of me” several times.
The scene was caught in video and the man was identified by the international media as Vitalii Sediuk, a former entertainment reporter and now celebrity prankster.
According to The Associate Press, Sediuk confirmed the incident and said it was a form of protest against the use of celebrity models.
"While I consider Gigi Hadid beautiful, she and her friend Kendall Jenner have nothing to do with high fashion,'' Sediuk said in an email statement to the news agency.
Meanwhile, Hadid also addressed this issue with a statement posted on her Twitter account.
“I am a human being, and had every right to defend myself,” said Hadid on Twitter.
