"I should have gone first... not her.... because I have more illness compared to her," said Sharifah Noor, the mother of Malaysia's legendary songstress, Datuk Sharifah Aini.
The wheelchair-bound mother Sharifah or Umi, accompanied by her husband (the songstress step father) expressed her grief for the lost of her daughter to host, Datuk Aznil Nawawi during the 'Apa Kata Malaysia hlive!' programme.
She also said that she felt aggrieved for leaving early and not staying a little while longer when her daughter was again admitted into the hospital.
"I am aggrieved... because I went back early. I didn't expect the situation to turn out like this. It's really sad...," said Umi in tears.
"Before I went home I told her 'Umi loves you'... and she nodded her head," said Umi again.
"I thought that by the nod of her head, she meant that she's okay but what happened was otherwise, and so I rushed back to see her but she had left us.
"Maybe she nodded because she didn't want to make it difficult for me. It's sad... really sad," said Umi shaking her head with tears running down her cheeks.
