Legendary Indian musician Illayaraja’s son, composer Yuvan Shankar Raja has embraced Islam, report said.
Yuvan denied that he got married for the third time and confirmed that he is currently following Islam.
"I'm not married for the third time. The news is fake and, yes, I follow Islam and I'm proud about it. My family supports my decision and there is no misunderstanding between me and my dad," was posted on his Twitter account Sunday.
Reports also said, 34-year-old Yuvan was much attached to his mother and soon after she passed away, he started missing her a lot.
He also met a spiritual guru, but the reason what made him follow Islam is unclear.
This is not inspired by fellow Oscar winning composer AR Rahman (who also converted to Islam), report said.
Yuvan, has been practicing Islam for almost a year now.
He is currently married to Shilpa Moham, Yuvan was previously married to long-time girlfriend Sujaya Chandran in 2005 and separated in 2008.
Recently Yuvan completed his 100th album and his forthcoming albums include Anjaan, Taramani, Vai Raja Vai and Vettai Mannan.
