IT CAN'T get any hotter than Johnny Depp playing the guitar, not knowing where to go, driving around the desert in his 1969 Dodge Charger.
After years and years claiming that he is uncomfortable with his sex symbol status, it seems that Depp has mellowed down and beginning to accept and embrace that status in Dior’s latest advertisement.
His mysterious ruggedness which exudes effortless sensuality and rebellious good looks has made Depp the muse for Dior’s first men’s perfumery campaign in over 10 years called Dior Sauvage.
After the news broke that Dior has chosen Johnny Depp as their new face a few weeks ago, a full video was released today.
It was directed by the celebrated French fashion photographer and music video director, Jean-Baptiste Mondino who has worked with Bowie, Madonna, Bjork and Neneh Cherry, to name a few.
The one-minute-and-twenty-seconds video opens with Johnny Depp playing the metallic tunes of legendary music composer, Ry Cooder.
52-year old Depp then heads out of the city and embarks on a savage journey of discovery in the desert, with a mission to bury his manly accessories he has on him.
Sauvage in French means ‘wild’ or ‘natural’ and Depp is aptly all that.
