Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Amazon Studios are set to work together on new movie "K Troop", which tackles the rise of the Ku Klux Klan, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Amazon Studios have bought the rights to the film which will be produced by and possibly also star Gordon-Levitt.
Set during the years after the Civil War, the film will tell the story of the KKK's rise during 1865 in the American South, and how many who led the US Army's K Troop went on to stamp this first incarnation of the group in 1871.
Gordon-Levitt could possibly star as Major Lewis Merrill, the leader of K Troop, but further details are yet to be confirmed.
