The two heroes of "The Wolf of Wall Street" are in line for leading roles in a film about a man wrongly accused of a terrorist act during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill aren't finished yet. After playing corrupt market traders for Martin Scorsese, the duo plan to participate in "American Nightmare," based on an investigative piece written for Vanity Fair magazine.
Jonah Hill is expected to take the lead role, stepping into the shoes of Richard Jewell, the security guard who discovered a backpack containing three bombs.
His vigilance meant that much of the Centennial Olympic Park could be evacuated, crowded as it was prior to the start of a concert held to celebrate the Games, and limiting the bombs' human casualties to 2.
However, after being praised by news organizations covering the event, he was then portrayed as principal suspect, accused of having planted the device himself in order to profit from discovering it before the explosion.
Leonardo DiCaprio, who is producing the film through his company Appian Way, will play Jewell's attorney Lin Wood, eventually clearing his clients' name.
Jonah Hill will work on the project in parallel to another Appian Way project, a TV series centered around the late 1980s hip hop scene featuring A Tribe Called Quest's Kamaal Fareed, also known as Q-Tip.
