'Life' trailer: Reynolds, Gyllenhaal lead space thriller

A microscopic alien life form turns hostile and wreaks havoc on board an exploratory space station in this trailer for the new Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal film "Life".
The feature, directed by Daniel Espinoza of "Safe House" and "Child 44," has Reynolds and Gyllenhaal as Jack Harrison and John McKay, part of a crew on board the International Space Station looking for evidence of life beyond earth.
Rebecca Ferguson (TV series "The White Queen,") Ariyon Bakare ("Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell,") Hiroyuki Sanada ("The Twilight Samurai") and Olga Dihovichnaya ("House of Others") also star in the film, which will release in the US in May 2017.
Before then, more sci-fi space adventures beckon in November 2016's "Arrival" (starring Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner, directed by Denis Villeneuve,) and December's "Passengers" (starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt, directed by Morten Tyldum). Meanwhile, Ridley Scott's "Alien: Covenant" is set to release in August 2017.
