@live concert at Twin Tower to mark Earth Hour

In an effort to save the planet, Kuala Lumpur joins the world to mark the Earth Hour at KLCC by switching off the lights for one hour, here last night.
The ceremony was officially launched with the lights out at the Petronas Twin Tower at 8.30pm by Kuala Lumpur City Mayor Datuk Seri Ahmad Phesal Talib.
This global iconic landmark with 88 floors on both towers has committed to go dark for one hour with performances by various singers locally as well as international which was held in conjunction with then Malaysian Grand Prix Formula One 2013.
The night started with energetic performance by the 'Prince of Damansara', Caprice.
The crowds grew excited with performances by One Nation Emcess and Mizz Nina performing their hit songs.
Special performance was made by Korean popstar group, 2NE1 where they performed more than three songs for their Malaysian fans.
The most awaited performance of the night was by the popular boy band, Backstreet Boys (BSB) where it lasted for more than one hour.
Memorable songs such as I Want It That Way, Shape Of My Heart and I'll Be The One to name a few, saw a great enthusiast by the crowds when they keep jumping and screaming wanting for more.
Three lucky girls was brought on stage to have a chance to get close to the band members while listening to them singing live.
The event was an initiative made by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to signal their care for the planet.
Also present at the event was WWF Malaysia CEO, Datuk Dr Dionysius Sharma.
