Tensions and emotions flare among audiences and fans alike over the sense of making this final franchise into a bombastic finale.
Mangled would be a kind word for this second installment of the universally-loved adaptation of the one of the best-selling books of the same title.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 opens with Katniss Everdeen getting medical attention, treating her vocal chords after she sustained an injury in the previous installment.

Then, in came the image of one of this generation’s greatest actor, Philip Seymour Hoffman. Though his presence was brief, like the previous chapter, I found that his role was impactful and nostalgic.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 carries the franchise to its commanding final chapter in which Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence becomes overly-conscious of the risks, which are no longer just for survival.
It goes beyond surviving the game. Katniss in this conclusive episode is fighting for the future.

This time, the oh-so-illustrious city of Panem is in a full-blown war of betrayal and of oppression.
President Snow is made the common enemy and Katniss is all about strategising to oust him.
Katniss teams up with her regular team member, among others Gale, played by Liam Hemsworth, Finnick (Sam Claflin) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson).
Together, they proceed with their mission to liberate the citizens of Panem and in the other districts.
Realising the bleak future of Panem under his wings, President Snow becomes obsessed in obliterating Katniss. As a game of cat-and-mouse plays out against President Snow, there is incident but little progress.
Not only must Katniss survive this lethal game of life but she must also be free from the mortal traps, countless enemies and choices that morally sets her apart from the rest of the villains.
In between, Katniss is faced with tough choices of love, having to pick one out of the two men she can spend the rest of her life with.
By its own admission, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 has resurrected Philips Seymour Hoffman from the dead but I'm unsure f it can resurrect the glory of this franchise to soaring heights like it did before.
The pressure is on. Let the war begins ...
