Despite receiving numerous lifetime achievement awards, international movie star Datuk Seri Michelle Yeoh said she would continue her acting career for it was her true passion.
The Hong Kong based Malaysian actress said she hoped that all the lifetime achievement awards that she had received were never a signal for her to retire from acting for she loved the entertainment industry.
"I have received so many lifetime achievement awards, I hope they aren't the message say 'go home now', but I take each of them as an incentive so I can do better - I achieved this and I am going to try to achieve more.
"So yes on all, I am very active because the world of media whether films, TVs is very much as a passion and love (for me), I enjoy doing it so much, it is not a job," she told reporters here, last night.
On her latest movie, Yeoh said her latest film directed by Korean-American filmmaker Gina Kim was now in a post-production stage, and she hope it would be released in summer.
Meanwhile, Yeoh said she would launch a talent search programme to scout for new Asian actors and singers.
"We are still in the planning process, when we are ready we will announce it to you, anyone who wants to be an actor, a singer, get ready we are coming to you," she said.
Yeoh's visit to Kuching is in conjunction with the three-day International Film Festival Award and ASEAN 2013 (AIFFA) ending today.
