'OlaBola' rakes in RM8 million in thirteen days

The film "OlaBola" which was released on Jan 28 in 126 screens nationwide as well as in Brunei, has raked in RM8 million in its first 13 of screening.
The film "OlaBola" which was released on Jan 28 in 120 screens nationwide as well as in Brunei, has raked in RM8 million in its first 13 of screening.
Astro Shaw in a media statement today stated that the overwhelming response during the second week of its screening came from the reaction of those who had watched the film since day one of its release.
The social media also played an important role in providing people with rave reviews of the movie.
The film’s trailer meanwhile had been viewed about 1.6 million times on Facebook and Youtube, to date.
Inspired by a true story, the film tells the tale of the national football players’ undying spirit and unity as they brought honour to Malaysia when they qualified for the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow.
Directed by Chiu Keng Guan of ‘The Journey’ fame, the film stars include Bront Palarae, Frankie Lee, JC Chee, Luqman Hafidz, Saran Kumar Manokaran, Marianne Tan and Katrina Ho.
