KUALA LUMPUR: The action-comedy sequel Polis Evo 3 grossed an impressive RM16 million in ticket sales in just four days of its release in cinemas across Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore.
The film, directed by Syafiq Yusof, has positioned it as the highest grossing film in its opening week post-pandemic, surpassing the record previously held by Mat Kilau: Kebangkitan Pahlawan.
Mat Kilau: Kebangkitan Pahlawan, directed by Syamsul Yusof, grossed RM12.2 million in ticket sales during its initial four-day run.
The success of Polis Evo 3 in such a short span of time signifies the continued support of local film enthusiasts and their desire for high-quality productions, says Raja Jastina Raja Arshad, the Executive Producer of Polis Evo 3 and Head of Astro Shaw and Malay Nusantara Business.
