A Seattle man had a dream literally came true when British rock legend Billy Idol played at his 26th birthday party.
Michael Henrichsen spent two years persuading the rock icon to play his party, and it finally paid off at the packed Showbox SoDo club on Friday.
"It's an incredibly surreal moment, so I'm trying to enjoy as much of it as I possibly can," Henrichsen said.
Idol guitarist Steve Stevens played him `Happy Birthday' in the middle of a solo.
Then Idol called Henrichsen onto the stage for a rendition of the song.
Henrichsen's 1980s cover band even played the opening act.
Idol said that Henrichsen's effort stood out from other fan requests because of his campaign involving four "Billy Idol Aid" charity concerts that raised $13,000 for the Northwest Harvest food bank and the American Red Cross.
