'SimetriSiti', Siti Nurhaliza's gift to fans

Malaysia''s number one songstress, Datuk Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin, is back with her new album, ''SimetriSiti'', celebrating her fans.
Her 18th studio album, containing 10 new songs, includes her latest single, Segala Perasaan, written by Indonesian composer, Ivan Lahardika, apart from her own song, Penghiburku, which features rap famous singer, Joe Flizzow.
According to Siti Nurhaliza who has been in the music industry for 21 years, the album is considered as a special gift for her fans and all who have supported her career.
''This appreciation is reflected in the cover concept of the album which shows a group of fans surrounding me, as well as certain lyrics that are especially dedicated to my fans who are the ''pulse''of my success," she said during the launching of the album here on Friday.
When asked of the challenges faced throughout the production of the album, Siti Nurhaliza said the vocal recording was rather trying as it had to be done when she was feeling ill.
"Initially, I felt as if I was not ready to record my first and second songs, but, thankfully, when listening to the pieces again, I found that the songs presented a different side to my vocals. I am also grateful to my vocal teacher for preserving well my vocals while enabling me to complete the recording as scheduled," she added.
Other songs included in the album are Bersandar Cinta (composed by Aubrey Suwito and lyrics by Ad Samad), Ikrar Cinta'' (composed by Amirah Ali and lyrics by Sulu Sarawak), Aku Bukan Malaikat (composed by Opick and lyrics by Dian), Manis Terindah (composed by Aubrey Suwito and lyrics byAd Samad), Tak Perlu Ragu (by Ade Govinda), Kau Takdirku (composed by Mohariz Yaakup and lyrics by Habsah Hassan), Hiasi Duniaku (by Sid Murshid) as well as a duet song, Kisah Ku Inginkan, with Indonesian male singer, Judika (by Ivan Lahardika).
For its project director, Aubrey Suwito, the album was recorded using the orchestra music of ''The Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra''.
"i do admit the production of the album was tough but I am thrilled to know that Bulgarian orchestra musicians are impressed with it and Siti''s voice," he added.
The album jointly produced by Universal Music Malaysia and Siti Nurhaliza Productions (M) Sdn Bhd is expected to hit the market on May 10. - BERNAMA
