The norm, usually Valentine’s Day observers exchange roses, gifts and greeting cards on this day full of romance.
If you’re looking for something out of the norm, everyone is welcome with your loved ones to watch a theather called ‘Neo-Romantik’ at Stor Teater DBP Kuala Lumpur, a play directed by Aloy Paradoks.
Love story is one of the most liked or preferred by most writers since those days. Among some of the famous plays, would be the well-known Shakespeare’s ‘Romo and Juliet’, ‘Laila Majnun’ and ‘Sam Pek Eng Tai’.
The element of love is added to almost every piece by writers and authors. Suitable with its title ‘Neo’ which means new, how a love story is would be describes in nowdays time.
Neo-Romantik picture the real or tries to interpret the real meaning of romance. In this piece,a bench is significantly used on what happens in Asyrah and Najua.
Najua and Asyraf happen to be a celebrity couple who are already married for 10 years. And in conjunction with their 10th wedding anniversary, the TV Sensasi through the hottest talk show "Neo-Romantic" inviting them to be a host for the week.
The play is divided into two (2) segments. The first segment is that they react their early romantic days scenes in front of the camera and in front of the audience.
The second segment is a question and answer session between the host and the audience in the studio.
And usually in this kind of question and answer session, the audience tends to ask questions that are personal and a little sensitive about their relationship, situations may cause uncomfortable feeling on behalf of the couple. However, they have to answer the questions.
Audience can also interact with the actors during the staging to include # NeoRomantik through their Twitter account.
The theater will be held from 14 to 17 February 2013 at 8.30pm, with ticket price at RM25. The theatre is by producer Ajami Hashim.
