Although netizens were generally excited to see Tyler Hoechlin take on the iconic roles, some thought it would go to Tom Welling.

NOTHING beats the euphoria of getting the chance to play any actors dream role: Superman/Clark Kent.

For Teen Wolf actor Tyler Hoechlin, the opportunity to play the iconic role in the second season of television series ‘Supergirl’.

This was confirmed by the actor on his Twitter account, citing that 'he is honoured and humbled' to land himself the meaty role of the much-loved DC Comic character.
