New footage showing scenes of the young turtles learning the ways of the ninja has been released.
New footage has been released for the Michael Bay-produced action movie, including scenes of the young turtles learning the ways of the ninja.
With less than a month to go before "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" hits US theaters, the movie's promotional campaign is in full swing. A few days after the release of a new trailer and a series of posters -- each representing one of the reptiles -- the new teaser adds another layer.
The opening images show the turtles in the lab where they were created, already looking tough despite their tiny size. Standing a few centimeters tall on his hind legs, one of them breaks the glass of his aquarium when a human hand approaches. Next we see the ninja turtles, probably as pre-teens, brandishing their weapons in front of a contemplative Splinter.
The 1984 comic book "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" has already inspired several onscreen adaptations, both on TV and on the big screen.
In this latest adaptation, which arrives in US theaters on August 8, New York has been living in the shadow of the evil Shredder, who rules over the city with his cronies. Stepping out of the sewer, the ninja turtles team up with the journalist April O'Neil (Megan Fox) and her cameraman Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett) to save the city.
