Fans of the illustrious "Twin Peaks" series will have to wait another year to see the remake, which was originally slated for a 2016 premiere.
Series co-creator had told the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in June that the remake won't be ready until 2017, yet the news has only now been received, according to Variety, who spotted the story.
"The challenge for us is to try and come back and raise the bar above what we did the last time," said Frost, reminding viewers that this upcoming third season will appear after a 25 year hiatus.
"We've finished the scripts, we start production in September, and that will be coming out on Showtime sometime in 2017."
The original series began with an investigation of the murder of a girl in a make-believe town in Washington and it ran from 1990 to 1991.
