The much awaited results of reality show “The Voice Season 5” is in....
After almost three months of amazing performances, heartbreaking goodbyes and intense coaching by the shows coaches namely Adam Levine, CeeLo Green, Christina Aguilera and Blake Sheldon, the show finally pulled down its curtain with the crowning of its winner, 28-year-old Tessanne Chin.
A favourite since the beginning of Season 5, Tessanne who hails from Kingston, Jamaica had won the title for herself and her coach Adam Levine.
Tessanne, whose parents are musicians, was the only finalist who got all four coaches to turn their chairs during the blind audition with her performance of ‘Try” by Pink.
The finale saw Tessanne delivering a moving performance of Whitney Houstan’s ‘I Have Nothing’, a customised version of the song ‘Tumbling Down’ by OneRepublic founder Ryan Tedder and ‘Try’ by Pink.
The night also showcased fantastic performances by two other finalists Will Chaplin coached by Adam Lavine and Christina Aguilera’s Jacquie Lee.
Sixteen-year-old Jacquie was announced the runner-up while musician Will came in third.
They however did not walk away empty handed. All three finalists later learnt that they had each won a brand-new Kia car.
Celine Dion, Ne-Yo, Paramore, OneRepublic and Aloe Blacc also performed during the two-hour season finale.
