5 minutes with Joe Lee

Best known for his weekly entertainment column in a local daily, seasoned journalist Joe Lee is now the founder, owner and creative director of My J Play doing consulting work for conceptual approaches for ground, television, film & music related events. He also manages singer Amir Jahari.

Joe spared five minutes from his schedule to share with us about his favourite holiday destination, favourite tablet application, latest project and plenty more.

Latest Project: The musical events I'm working on are in relation to social media, promotions and publicity. I’m also the social media head for the upcoming Malaysia Social Media Week scheduled to be held from Feb 6 to March 3. We want to bring more awareness to corporate and government bodies to implement social media in their establishments. It is one aspect that is often overlooked. They have Facebook and Twitter and they think that’s enough. There should be a concentrated effort to bring it to the next level.

Favourite Book: Chick lit... anything like Shopaholic or Babylon series. I am a very light reader, none of the heavy stuff for me.

Best place to dine in KL: Quite a few but I just love my mum’s cooking.

How do you relax: I usually relax by having my laptop, internet connection, a nice drink, a book, and no one else disturbing on the beach.

How do you spend your weekends: I work on weekends. What I do is not a 9 to 5 job. I don’t switch off.

Favourite holiday destination: Jakarta, Bali, Bandung and Bangkok. They are home away from home.
