Alec Baldwin is set to return to our TV screens in his first role since "30 Rock".
The Emmy Award-winning actor has been lined up for a starring role in an as-yet untitled project with Universal Television and HBO, Deadline reports.
According to the site, Baldwin will play the part of real estate developer Joe Byrne, who is both a billionaire and philanthropist. When disaster strikes, Byrne is unexpectedly brought in to replace the New York City mayor and thus catapulted on to the stage of the city's politics.
