'Anak Buloh Betong' actor dies of heart attack in Singapore

The 1960s Malay movie actor S. Rosley died in Singapore at 1.40am today, BERITAMediacorp reported.
S. Rosley whose real name is Syed Ahdross Syed Ahmad Alqadry, 74, had a fall while walking at his residential block and died of acute myocardial infarction or heart attack at Changi General Hospital early this morning.
The report quoted his 34-year-old son, Singaporean actor and singer Fido Ahdross today.
S. Rosley, who was popular among movie fans via his movie 'Anak Buloh Betong', playing the character of Tengku Rangkas, underwent heart bypass surgery a few years ago.
He also had to use a pacemaker for the past three months due to his weak and irregular heartbeat.
Earlier, one of his four children, Sharifah Fathin Ahdross through her Facebook account, said that S. Rosley would be laid to rest after Zohor prayer.
Better known as period movie actor, S. Rosley's other movie credits included 'Lampung Karam', 'Terlibat' and 'Darma Kesuma'. - BERNAMA
