MUMBAI: Aryan Khan was sent to Arthur Jail in Mumbai after his bail plea in a narcotics case was rejected by a court on Friday.
Khan and seven others were detained when agents raided a rave party and seized drugs from a luxury cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on Saturday.
Khan, 23, is the eldest son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
Khan has been performing for nearly three decades and has starred in more than 105 movies. He has more than 42 million followers on Twitter and also owns the Kolkata Knight Riders team, which plays for the Indian Premier League, the world's richest cricket competition.
Bollywood stars have found themselves caught in quite a few drug-related inquiries in the last few years.
In September 2020, some of Bollywood's most prominent actors were questioned by the narcotics agency in connection with the death of famous actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
