David Beckham to take on a film role for Guy Ritchie

Superstar soccer player David Beckham will grace the silver screen, with a role in Guy Ritchie's upcoming film "Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur."

Film Divider reports that Beckham will play a cameo role in the scene when the sword Excalibur is pulled from the stone, and that a few soccer puns have been written in.

Beckham joins a cast that includes Charlie Hunnam, Jude Law, Eric Bana, Annabelle Wallis and Astrid Bergès-Frisbey.

"Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur" is out in the US and UK on July 22, 2016.
