INTERNATIONAL pop star, Demi Lovato announced that she is taking a break from showbiz in 2017.

Lovato, who is currently headlining the Future Now Tour with pop singer Nick Jonas, took to Twitter about her big plans for next year.

“So excited for 2017. Taking a break from music and the spotlights.

“I am not meant for this business and the media,” wrote Lovato on her Twitter.

In response to a fan following the announcement, Lovato expressed that she would rather indulge in doing charity work.

The announcement has left her fans perplexed.

Lovato, is no stranger to demonstrate her rage on social media, which led to her 'exit' from Twitter and Instagram in June before she made her “comeback” 24 hours later and promised her die-hard fans with more honest opinions.

“And I’m coming back more honest than ever,” she said.

The Future Now Tour kicked off in Atlanta, United States in June and will culminate in Asia where she is scheduled to perform in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in February, 2017.
