It was also an unexpected twist for Beck, when he startled everyone by winning the Album of the Year category for Morning Phase. Beck last received a Grammy in the year 2000 when he won the Best Alternative Music Performance category for Mutations.

What's more startling with Beck's win was when Kanye a.k.a Mr. Kim Kardashian pulled a prank and jokingly almost 're-living' his own infamous 2009 Kanye-Taylor Swift moment as he hopped on stage when Beck won out over Beyoncé.

This year's Grammy Awards show also sees artistes in music come together, sending out messages of positivity and humanity with Katy Perry who dedicated her song to a victim of domestic violence and Usher pays homage to Stevie Wonder, singing 'If It's Magic'.

Starting with an outstanding opening rock performance by ACDC to Madonna's sultry pop-matador queen moves right until the last drop of good three-and-hour 'live' music performance - that ended with Beyoncé's serenading the audience with her powerful vocals for the Grammys close out show with Take My Hand Precious Lord (introducing John Legend and Common’s Glory) as a group of background performers held up their hands in a 'hands up, don’t shoot' image.
