'Furious 7' drops power-packed debut

Original faces from across the "Fast & Furious" franchise return for what will be, in the words of Dominic Toretto, "one last ride."

Parachuting out of a plane inside a souped-up sportscar, rescuing a hostage from inside a heavily armored bus on a treacherous mountainside road, and teetering just one powerslide from safety on the edge of a ravine -- the "Furious 7" trailer is frontloaded with adrenaline adventure.

As Dominic Toretto, Vin Diesel leads a crew of familiar faces, pulled back out of retirement when an old feud is reignited.

Jason Statham is introduced as the brother to Owen Shaw, primary antagonist of "Fast & Furious 6," and no doubt further trailer reels await to highlight the talents of series newcomers Kurt Russell and Tony Jaa.

"Furious 7" is set for a North American release on April 3, 2015, with international releases coordinated for the same week or soon after.
