James Franco to appear in 'The Mindy Project'

The actor will make a cameo appearance in two episodes of the American TV series, whose second season debuts September 17 on Fox.

Franco, whose talent for TV was first revealed in the series "Freaks and Geeks," likes to return to the small screen every now and then. Recently, the actor appeared as himself in the sitcom "30 Rock." He also spent two months as a regular cast member on the soap opera "General Hospital."
