Jessica Simpson gets active with new clothing label

US singer and businesswoman Jessica Simpson is to take on the active wear business.

Her new line of clothing will be called Jessica Simpson The Warm Up, according to Women's Wear Daily.

It's a major expanson of Simpson's brand and represents the first big step since she partnered with Sequential Brands Group last April.

Simpson's commercial endeavors in fashion have spanned the domains of shoes, clothing and perfume, with activewear closing the gap.
